Larry Blackburn, Commercial Sales Manager
Larry Blackburn began his career in the mechanical field in 1970 after serving in the U.S. Army, and today serves as Roscoe Brown, Inc.'s Commercial Sales Manager. Over the years, he gained experience in the mechanical, plumbing and HVAC industries, working out in the field, working with clients to meet their needs as a project manager, and teaching classes for the Associated Builders and Contractors Association.
"I've seen the business from all sides," he said. Larry has worked with RBI since 1994, partnering with customers to develop efficient, effective solutions to meet their HVAC needs.
"We focus on putting in systems that truly work, and limit callbacks for our clients. We stand behind our work and perform our workmanship with a strong focus on quality and meeting the client's efficiency and budget needs."
Mike Meacham, Shop Foreman
Mike Meacham is the Shop Foreman at Roscoe Brown, Inc. (RBI). Mike has 42 years' experience in the construction and sheet metal industries, and has been with RBI for 14 years. He began in the industry as an apprentice and worked his way up, learning all facets of the industrial and commercial industries from start to finish. Today, he manages all aspect of the shop, including custom applications, engineering, purchasing and equipment rental.
"At Roscoe Brown Inc. we have one of the the most modern and up-to-date shops in Middle Tennessee. We can fabricate almost anything for the HVAC industry and we custom fabricate specialty item to our customers specifications. We have access to a number of materials: galvanized sheet metal, copper, aluminum,and hot rolled steel. We are always ready to try any project large or small."
Jeff Hopkins, Commercial Sales Consultant
Jeff Hopkins has worked in the commercial HVAC industry since 1984. He began gaining experience and expertise first as a draftsman, then as an estimator, and as a project manager. He has been with Roscoe Brown, Inc. for approximately five years.
"At Roscoe Brown, we solve problems and get things done," Jeff said. "We're known for day-in and day-out good work, and also for finding a more economical way for a HVAC problem to be solved or for thinking through and handling a more complex situation."
Hopkins has worked through middle Tennessee on such projects as the Union Station Hotel, country music star Barbara Mandrell's home, and Maryland Farms Office Park. He also has experience on the manufacturer's side with Trane and also with a test and balance contractor.
Tom Giles, Commercial Field and Service Supervisor
Tom Giles has worked in both the residential and commercial sectors of the industry since 1974. Originally from Indiana, Giles is a commercial field and service supervisor. His broad range of experience---from sheet metal work to design to installation to ductwork and controls---means he's ideally suited to design, troubleshoot and install programs, systems, wiring and controls for Roscoe Brown's commercial and industrial customers.
"I work with many small, medium and large organizations throughout the region," he said. "We've seen basically every type of situation and system there is in the marketplace, and that means we don't have to start at the beginning, so to speak. Because we're knowledgeable and experienced when we begin the project, we pick up where the problem or situation begins. Our experience saves the customer time and money."
Giles spends a lot of time reading and researching in his field, and he says Roscoe Brown continuously focuses on ongoing training for its technical staff. "With our commercial service agreements, we give the best service at the best price to keep business going with no downtime because of faulty equipment."
