Ask Roscoe

Q:  What does SEER mean?

The Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) is a measure of the cooling efficiency of your air conditioner or heat pump.  The higher the SEER number, the more efficient the system is at converting electricity into cooling power.  The SEER for your new system should be at least 13 or higher.  We can tell you the SEER of your new equipment, or you can look for the energy label on the equipment.

Q:  I've been hearing more and more about chemical sensitivity.  What is this, and how can Roscoe Brown help?

Some people may develop health problems when exposed to certain chemicals.  Telltale symptoms include dizziness, eye and throat irritation, chest tightness and nasal congestion.  People may react to even trace amounts to chemicals to which they have become "sensitized."

At Roscoe Brown, Inc. our sales force has been extensively trained to be aware of and respond to the individual and unique situations of our customers.  We are ready to help with any home comfort problem or situation that you might have.
